Our speakers this year did not disappoint.  The sessions were all well attended and received.  A BIG thank you to your sharing your time and knowledge with us this year!
Chris OBrien gave the Astro Quiz this year.  Brains were strained, but fun was had by all that took the quiz.
Dr. Steve Case reviewed the life of John Herschel.  All involved agreed that John Herschel had and extraordinary life and made fabulous contributions to astronomy.

We especially want to thank Dr. Case for stepping up and presenting early as our scheduled speaker was delayed due to traffic.  Thank you very much.
Bob Morrow (the infamous Bob's Knobs guy) shared some excellent information about telescope selection and performance.  Many came away with a much better understanding about those basic numbers that we know as well as the what they actually mean when you are observing.  If you have the opportunity to hear his presentation, do not miss the opportunity!

Chuck Allen (Astronomical League President) was our featured speaker this year.  He provided a great review of the observing programs provided by the Astronomical League.  In addition to the obvious of here are the programs, he provided insights into what that some of the programs are actually trying to accomplish... Better understanding of stellar lifecycle.  Better understanding of dark skies.  Transient Lunar phenomenon that you might not know about.  Observation of objects that you might night have guessed existed.  These programs start with the easy observations and can push the observer to expand their abilities.  They are well worth your time to review the programs and find a program for yourself.
