Indiana Family Star Party
Indiana GreatCON 2010 Review
Our vendors provided new toys and a great meal for those who take advantage of their presence. They provide that extra touch that changes a good star party into a great party. We thank them for coming out and look forward to their return.
While some people did their own grilling, many took advantage of the Astro Grill which was run by the wonderful people from Flavors and This n' That from Frankfort. They provided grilled burgers, hot dogs, prime rib sandwiches, and other great food to keep us going for the weekend. Thanks for coming out to keep us fed!
Great Red Spot Astro Products joined us again this year to provide a selection of new toys. Jeff supplied scopes, eyepieces, laser pointers and more things. Not only did he set up their display for the day to allow everyone to get a close look to examine their wares, but Jeff demonstrated some of his products at night to show what great products he brought with them. See their home page for what they have available. We really look forward to them returning next year!
Al Mittering from Mittering Meteorites joined us again this year and brought a fabulous selection of meteorites to choose from. Many took advantage of Al’s presence to lighten their wallets in exchange for a great meteor to take home and think about during those overcast Indiana nights.
Joining us again this year was Camera Concepts & Telescope Solutions (CCTS) from New York. CCTS provided a different selection of eyepieces, accessories, and tee shirts for people to purchase. Thanks for making the trip, we enjoyed having you!
Astro Gizmos showed off their portable observatory (the AstroGazer) and a lot of other really neat toys! From scope covers to blankets to other cool gizmos, we had a tough time deciding what to get. We thank them for dropping in!
Burgess Optical came up from Tennessee to join our little gathering this year. Their selection of eyepieces, telescopes, mounts, binoculars and more kept everyone wondering how to afford one more purchase. Thanks for making the trip up!
