This year brought another great series of speakers that were enjoyed by all. They included...
Ron Whitehead, chairman of the Great Lakes region of the Astronomical League, gave the Astronomical League Astro-Quiz and coordinated the GreatCon activities this year. Thanks for all of your efforts and especially for your presentation!
Ron Kaitchuck, Professor of Physics and Astronomy as well as director of the Ball State University Planetarium, gave a presentation about the missing universe. His presentation about dark matter and dark energy enlightened all.
Mike Lockwood is an optician that specializes in mirror making. Mike described his progress in making mirrors and his work towards making large fast mirrors to that big dobs don't have to need a very tall step ladder to get to the eyepiece.
Chuck Bueter presented Light Pollution is Easy.  He discussed not only why we should care but what we can do about it.
H. Jay Melosh presented some of the results from NASA's Deep Impact Mission to Comet Tempel 1.
Forrest Hamilton detailed the design and goals of the Kepler Project for us.
Harry Gaebler is the 2009 first-place winner of the Astronomical League's National Young Astronomer Award. Harry gave a presentation on the work that he did to win his award: Methods of measuring distances to galaxies and also on the correlation between distance of galaxies and their shape.
We thank each of these wonderful people for taking the time out of their schedules to come around to present to us.
